batman begins in campus

Did we recieve our degrees yesterday? the file in my hand says so. wondering what is so great in recieving a degree. Montek' s speech didnt make me feel good about it. Walking from one end of the campus to another at 6.00 in the morning and catching a bus to go to Sunil's house didnt either.

But then when i reached, there is sunil and bhuvana at home. Wow, was it their degree? they looked so happy. was it on seeing me or my degree. atleast at that moment i felt, may be the piece of paper has more weight than my what my hands feel.

it was a hard day for each of us sunil, bhu and me.
sunil was searching all kinds of libraries to get his references. It seems, brit library had some books which were probably discarded by the phirangis. And brit library in India are a dumping ground for their experiments with type writer. Finally he landed up in 'book point' buying a 1K worth books.
Bhu suffered severe morning sickness which went up to early afternoon. She also had to go to her old office one last time. She resigned Sathi and is joining some academic project in madras university. She is looking ahead for a fresh start on coming monday.

coming to me, i didnt really suffer that much but had a dull day at lab doing nothing. a parting lunch with all lab folks hosted at nandhinee by proff. I felt bad for the things that didnt go well today. i couldnt keep my word to Bhu that i will accompany to her office on her last trip to that place. Our original plan to go for a movie didnt happen; lack of tkts for the shows. i couldnt take time to talk to Sao.

Towards evening, things looked better. Bhu recovered. Sunil back from his search for books. We decided, we have to make it atleast to movie on campus. thus we ended up watching 'Batman Begins' at OAT. i liked it. more for getting one more chance to watch movie at OAT. After the movie, long chat before sleep brought our spirits back. already a promise for a great sunday.
